What do I say? I live in North GA and I have met every one of these characters IRL. The voice acting is beyond superb and the animation is perfectly representative of how it feels to live up here (elevation, not latitude). Not a single episode but's made me laugh-out-loud and not a single episode's but felt relevant. This is the finest admixture of art and comedy to come out of this sorry State. Early Cuyler is a gosh-darned Legend and a True Southern American Hero. Squid Jesus, Bless!

The ridiculousness of Python married to the absurdity of every bad Star Trek show ever made, plus the confusingly dystopian wonder of Lexx makes the perfect sci-fi satire. Love the bad props and terrible costumes and corny jokes. Makes me wish I were on that ship. ♥ ♥ ♥ this show til the day I die & never will any sci-fi satire ever replace you as #1 in my heart, thank you for making more. Keep it coming, PLZ! Lessons learned? depends on the episode, but it always feels like home. XOXOXOXOXOXO

To be fair, pilots can be rocky, so I'll give this one more shot. But based solely on the pilot, this show blows; it's not smart/insightful, funny, or even mildly interesting. Following some random person home from the grocery store and watching them put away their groceries is about the pace of this show. :/ Actually, watching a stranger put away their groceries or mow their lawn or clean their windows (you get the gist) would be a more entertaining way to spend half an hour.

I don't even know where to start; I could go on and on and on, but I'll do my best to be succinct.. A cockroach prophet, inter-dimensional donkey door, Perry Como induced insanity, and carnivorous butt monsters --this show takes ridiculous to the nexterest level. And an astoundingly excellent cast including Alan Tudyk, Brendan Fraser, and Timothy everloving Dalton just makes my happy to the max. The fourth wall breakage is wonderfully wry and the abundance of easter eggs will delight any true DC fan. Even more than that, the characters are fabulously dynamic and their emotional arcs have me hard-core invested. Also, I need to live on Danny. Srsly. Come get me Danny, I'll for sure help keep the party going.! I can't think of any show since Dirk Gently that has been so satisfyingly weird and wonderful. Five stars all the way.

Fresh and laugh-out-loud funny.
Dirk Gently is my Hero. Loved Samuel Barnett in Penny Dreadful and Not Safe For Work. He is totes adorbs. And Elijah Wood fits perfectly as his foil (good experience from Wilfred, maybe?). Rest of cast is totes fabs 4sure, not a weak link to be found. Sound is also fabs. As is photography, and, i assume, directing to pull it all together. As close to perfect as it gets. Overall tone/message: hopeful, kindness matters, curiosity is worth the effort, believing in oneself wins the day, and bad consequences are mitigated by overall good achieved; Dr. Who, step aside, Dirk Gently's in the house!

Alcoholic disparageable idiots trapped in a D&D dystopia. Utterly humorous and unapologetically crass. Just might also be my absolute favorite Wizard (chaotic neutral) EVER. (like, max out subterfuge/bluff, low ranks in minor real magic (potion crafting ~meh, artifact-recognizing ~variable, helping-the-party-out ~depends), & high ranks in 1 particularly useful magic [disappearing daily? special circumstances? utility? at-will? WHO KNOWS! wonderful!]) Keep it going, please, I love this nonsense. ^_______^ Makes my happy.

This show gets +5 stars for the actors, +3.5 stars for how hard they try to deliver such terrible jokes, and -5 stars for the writing, which totals: 2.5 stars.

To the writers of this show:

WTF is wrong with you??? How in God's good name did you get a job writing for such superlative actors? Do you hate comedy? (I mean, you are working for CBS, so I'll cut you a little slack, but still!) You should quit your jobs as comedy writers and find a career more suited to your talents: telemarketer, lobbyist for big tobacco, war profiteer, devastatingly contagious quarantine-breaker --you get the idea.

To the actors:

You are all amazing! Beau Bridges and Margo Martindale: you are both so amazingly talented that I'd watch the show just for you alone! Will Arnett & JB Smoove: you guys are great together & legitimately funny & I wish you were in something up to your standard of awesome! Jayma Mays and Nelson Franklin: you add a delightful and adorable quirkiness to the show that I don't care what groan-worthy thing the writers make you say or do! And to all the rest: main cast & guest stars alike, you all deliver with such fantastic conviction and skill that I am awed by your talent; you all deserve better!

To potential viewers:

If you haven't picked up on it already, this show has some of the worst writing and best acting I've ever seen on any tv show, much less a sitcom. If you don't mind worn-out jokes and stereotypical characters, you'd still be better served watching something else. If you are like me, however, and loooooove these actors, you might give it a try and stick it out if you can overlook the plebeian writing for the sake of the admirable acting.
