If you have played the game, you will find story beats and dialogues you are familiar with, and it will resonate with you. You will feel the anticipation for what you know is about to happen, and it will still hit you like a truck. If you haven't played the game... enjoy the ride. This is a story that will leave a mark on your soul.

Whether you are a long standing fan of Critical Role or not, this series is for you if: you like fantasy, you like poop jokes, and you don't mind seeing heads sliced in two. In all seriousness, this adaptation of the first campaign of Critical Role is spot on. My wife, who has never watched a single episode of the live stream, loves it. Give it a try, and if you don't like the first two minutes of the show, probably just move on. But you'll be hooked FAST if that show is for you! I can't wait for them to adapt more of their story arcs.
