Yet another show with a different premise gone! Ok, it could use a better writer. But, doesn't every new show need tweaking? There was a time a show would be given a chance to tweak out the problems. Loved the format, it was different, and plausible. This isn't syfy. Good actors as well. Why are they always in such a hurry to cut out good shows before they even get off the ground????
Well, my husband has given up! He asked me to stop DVRing this program from here on out. It has become too stupid for him. Comedic was acceptable, but stupid went too far. He just couldn't take it any longer. Too bad, really liked these actors. What is wrong with these writers.
Absolutely thought this gave so many an opportunity to get a chance to make it! I loved the way they voted, no one knew who was going to come ahead. It worked for me. Of course a lot of very good dancers were on this show and didn't make it, because only one winner can win. There should be a runner up gift, etc.
I love period pieces, but for some unknown reason just could not get my mind into this one. Started watching the first episode 3 times. After the first 20 or so minutes I would give up. Can't explain it.....Sorry folks that's all I've got.
The only reason I decided to give this show a try was to enjoy the wonderful scenery of Savanna. I can't even get past episode 2! If I didn't turn it off and delete, I would have puked...... 8th generation this, the right religion that, and that damn school that everyone HAD to go to...... OMG.......
I guess I'm too old to want to know just how AI will take over our world and my brain. This is informative I agree, but far too sci fi for me to wrap my head around. I don't even like to have big brother taking my picture at red lights!
This is a reality show of a father, son and his daughter all adults who have lived off the grid all their lives. They now go to the aid of any others who want to Homestead and be completely self sufficient, off the grid. They will show the Homesteader how to go about making the best of what they have to succeed, in some cases saving the homestead and all the money originally put into it. It's very interesting to see how innovative we could live if we chose to be, without all the gadgets we think we need. Life would and can be so much more simple. In exchange for some honest hard work.
The most emotional and heart wrenching real life program. It's kind of like a book that you can not put down, you just keep turning the pages faster and faster because you have to find out what happens in the end. But these are actually people's real lives. And you think, but for the grace of God that could have been me, or someone in my family. Unless you don't have a heart, this show is for you............
know wonder they only ordered 3 episodes. Too bad Judd Hirsch is a great actor. And they put him in this God awful thing.........
Very interesting, a great look at the past through the eyes of the guys as they take the barns of old and create buildings of new. Without ruining the wood, or the age of the wood. I found it humbling to watch how they dismantled with the most gentle of ways these barns of old. Many over 100 yrs of age. To see how they were originally built by the pioneers with their bare hands and the most basic tools. As my great grandfather did. I loved watching them repurpose this wood to new beautiful homes, with all it's antiquity still in it.
