This was one of the best shows on television since it began, and that hasn't changed a bit. I can't wait to see what's going to happen going into season 10. The killers get more insane, the storylines more intense, and the characters more developed with every episode. I'm glad this show is still around, because it deserves all the hype it gets and more.
Secrets & Lies is an apt title for this show; it lives up to that name in a big way with plenty of intrigue, drama, and yes - secrets and lies. Any drama show and even real life could tell you that small, close-knit suburban communities are not all they appear to be on the surface. People will always gossip about their friends and neighbours, and even the closest of pals will backstab each other without proof if it makes them look like a better person in the eyes of the public. This show covers all of that fantastically, with great acting to boot. I haven't watched the Aussie show it's based on, so I can't speak to whether it holds the same intrigue for those who watched the original, but without having seen it, I can say that this is damn good on its own.
Classic, wonderful British comedy. At times heartwarming and always hilariously funny. I'll always love this show!
A lot of spinoffs are never as good as their parent series, but I can say with no hesitation that this one is an exception. The Originals stands on its own without needing to rely on The Vampire Diaries to make it more intriguing. Sure, four of the main characters had already found a home in the stories that deal with the Mystic Falls gang, but The Originals is its own show, with its own backdrop in New Orleans, with the original family of vampires stepping back up to bat against a former friend turned enemy. There hasn't been an episode I've disliked. The writing is strong, the character development for the original vamps is there, and Klaus is more villainous than ever - only now he's got a contender for that throne. That competition alone makes it well worth the watch, but it's a must for any diehard fan of TVD.
Finding Carter is a great new show with a lot of potential to be even better than it already is. Many shows have issues in their infancy, but the writing in this show is pretty strong. The characters are intriguing (though I would like to know some more backstory to characters other than Carter, particularly her family members like Taylor and how she dealt with the kidnapping), the storyline has a chance to become something really amazing, and the show is just overall a good watch.
